Intellectual Property (IP) Rights Agreement
Last Updated: March 2026
This Intellectual Property Rights Agreement governs the ownership, authorized usage, and liability parameters concerning all digital materials uploaded to the Artistry Unleashed Performance (AUP) CUP 2026 platform. By executing registration and submitting your work, you provide explicit consent and are legally bound by the following clauses:
1. Ownership Retention
- Participant Rights: All copyrights and intellectual property rights associated with the submitted competition materials—including, but not limited to, Business Plan Pitch Decks, Story Telling scripts, Band Cover musical arrangements, and Dance Cover choreographies—remain the exclusive property of the respective participant or team.
- Idea Protection: Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) and the AUP CUP 2026 Organizing Committee strictly acknowledge that strategic concepts and data within business proposals constitute the participant's intellectual property. Such materials will never be utilized or monetized for commercial purposes outside the defined scope of this competition without prior explicit written consent.
2. Non-Exclusive Usage License for Promotion
- Promotional License: Participants grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and perpetual license to Universitas Bunda Mulia and AUP CUP to use, reproduce, publicly display, and distribute excerpts or the entirety of the submitted performance videos and presentation materials strictly for official documentation and promotional purposes.
- Digital Ecosystem: This usage right is authorized across all official digital media assets, including but not limited to the official website, the @aupcup Instagram account, the UBM YouTube channel, and internal university administrative reports.
- Attribution Protocol: The organizing committee enforces a strict attribution policy; all promotional materials utilizing participant submissions will explicitly credit the original creator or team as the rightful copyright holder.
3. Statement of Originality
- Guarantee of Authenticity: Participants legally warrant that all submitted works are entirely original and do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trademarks, or trade secrets of any third party.
- Third-Party Assets: In instances where submissions incorporate third-party elements (e.g., background audio tracks for Dance Covers), participants assume absolute liability for ensuring such usage complies with "fair use" doctrines or that requisite licensing and permissions have been legally secured.
4. Indemnification and Penalties
- Hold Harmless Clause: Universitas Bunda Mulia and the AUP CUP 2026 Organizing Committee are fully indemnified and held harmless against any legal claims, liabilities, damages, or associated costs arising should a participant's submission be proven to constitute plagiarism, unauthorized use, or copyright infringement.
- Immediate Disqualification: Any verified violation of this originality clause will trigger an automated and immediate disqualification from the competition. This includes the forfeiture of any finalist status, the revocation of all awarded prizes, and the nullification of the participant's registration with zero eligibility for a refund (Strictly Non-Refundable).
